How Loud Got Louder
The Luxury Loud story begins appropriately with three oddballs-not wisemen. One wiseman was a weed obsessed trust fund Englishman with delusions of grandeur. The second wiseman was, an ex-heroin addict turned Shaman, and the third, a wrongly convicted and overturned (another story), ex-con and award-winning strain developer.
One day the junkie shaman connected the Englishman to the ex-con, which set it all in motion and lead to a perfect partnership and Luxury Loud was born.
The End…or is it?
George
George, a main character in our true story, was born and raised in Detroit. George is loud, funny, and sometimes inappropriate but most notably, George has a very big heart and a love of people. George went to college in the 80’s, and paid for his college education by going green…. Well, truth be told he was “selling green” in the city; he’s what we will call a “legacy provisioner”. After college, George found work in the family business, as a third-generation restaurateur.
George had a very successful run as a restauranteur of memorable dining and drinking establishments, such as, Club Heaven (the original house music club, home of the late, great DJ Ken Collier), Agave (featured in Gourmet Magazine, New York Times and many Detroit media outlets) and of course, the legendary, AFB (Ok, but only because you asked: Another Fucking Bar).
Let’s just say George has always been able to combine hard work with a good time. He understands the importance of great service, of making people feel welcome and of always exceeding expectations. The definition of the word restaurateur means “restoring of Souls”. Today, George brings his big heart, generational passion of service, and attention to detail to Luxury Loud where he continues, to this day, “restoring souls”.
Marko
Our second main character in our true story is Marko. Marko is an engineer with an eye for detail, a staunch perfectionist, along with being a serious and well-versed student of cannabis. His education as an engineer, his perfectionism, and his disgust with a cannabis industry that was putting less than par product out into the world, put Marko on his mission. Mission: (stating this politely) was to grow the best fucking weed you can buy.
Marko knows his cultivars from his phenotypes and has been educated in the botanical and agricultural sciences required for the cultivation and processing of superior cannabis strains. What Marko also learned, while on his mission, is that being constantly high and an engineer, creates some amazing synergy for growing great cannabis. He was high when he designed a technologically superior facility, complete with cutting edge climate control, nutrient management, and lighting. Even while being high Marko knew that in order to grow great cannabis, he would need to design a technologically superior facility….. after all he is an engineer.
